Exam: As mild as your symptoms appear, it still is very important to have an Eye MD check your eye for any subtle injury (and to the contact lens). Just a superficial poke could introduce a contaminate into the corneal surface (or deeper) resulting in a bad infection. Several possible: Numerous skin lesions could match your description. Most likely are epithelial inclusion cyst, skin tag, papilloma, lid margin nevus, small chalazion among others. Malignant lesions like basal cell carcinoma are possible, but quite rare at this age. Eye exam: I would allow more time to grow than two weeks first of all, before you start worrying. Secondly, its important to get an eye exam, because, not to scare you, but there are certain cancerous lesions that can cause your eyelashes to fall out, especially if you're light skinned, and older than 40yo, and a long history of sun exposure. It is usually localized as a pea-like lump and is a reaction to trapped oil secretions which may become secondarily infected. When small and without symptoms, it may disappear without treatment. Likely a Stye: Hello It sounds like a stye. This is a common eye lid injection that many people have. You could treat it with warm compresses four times a day. To make the compress get a clean tube sock, fill it with a small amount of rice, and tie off the tube sock.
