Help docs! I'm trying to find out what causes joint pain, nerve pain and swelling in fingers, hands and wrists?

I would go: To a rheumatologist near you and have them look into it for you. What to do about it depends on what it is. It's just guesses in this format without more information and an exam.

Rheumatoid Arthritis: At your age it is more likely to be rheumatoid arthritis or another collagen disease like lupus etc. Only way you can find out is by consulting your family physician or a rheumatologist. Need detailed history, physical examination, xrays and/or blood test.Osteoarthritis usually presents at later date and pain and symptoms are limited to the joints only due to degenerative changes in the joints, seemd.

Should I be worried about joint pain in hands plus swelling and sweating?

Should I be worried about joint pain in hands plus swelling and sweating?

Have it evaluated.: Your pain could be as a result of many different things. A thorough history and physical exam and possibly some laboratory and radiology exams are needed to determine the exact cause. Causes of pain may include: trauma (fracture, tendon or ligamentous tear, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout), musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormalities.

Many things!: This is a very broad reaching question, that can be answered by your doctor and perhaps a consultant! autoimmune disease, infectious diseases, post-infectious immune triggered disease, all among the possibilities. See your doctor!

Been having- joint discomfort throughout my body &some joint pain in my right hand. Heavy head feeling-body run down-had slight swelling in face?

Get a blood test: Not knowing your history, I am assuming that your sedrate may have gone up. Get a blood test and see a rheumatologist as soon as you can. Also, may want to stay clear of glutens from now on. People who are sensitive to gluten present with body pain all over, lethargy, as well as heavy head and stomach aches. Hope you feel better soon!

Could be many: This is more complex and needs to be evaluated by an Orthopedic doc or a rheumatologist- likely need X-rays and blood work to make sure you do not have a metabolic bone disorder- can also be related to statins

Multiple Joints: Typically with multiple joint involvement we have our patients start with a rheumatologist to check if there is systemic arthritic involvement. Your primary care doc could start the evaluation with 10 days on 4 days off various anti-inflammatory medications to see if they can find one of the 9 categories to work well at controlling your symptoms. 38wks preg severe joint pain hands/feet for 8 wks now fingertips numb and petechiae on body BP ANA C3 C4 all normal and minimal swelling?

See OB today: Back to your obstetrician today. Hormonal changes in pregnancy may confound the diagnosis in rheumatologic diseases. The petechiae suggest that your platelet count may be low. This can be a very serious problem and the treatment needs of both you and the baby need to be addressed promptly.

Red knuckles along with pain and mild swelling in index and middle finger in both hands, along with feet, knee, and shoulder joint pain on both sides.

Hard to diagnose: Without more history and physical exam, but would recommend you see your physician, have a thorough history and physical and discuss possibility of rheumatoid arthritis. This could be many things, but I would start there. I would also consider asking about infectious causes, such as viral illnesses or lymes disease. Best of luck and I hope this helps.

Arthritis: Lupus is a cause of inflammatory arthritis. Arthritis in the thumbs can be positional and activity related, so certain things can cause sharp, intermittent pain. Get an x-ray of your hands to find out. Start by getting an evaluation from your primary care provider.

I have wrist joint pain for over 15 days (no swelling) and I am unable to play badminton. Can I get some advice?

Rest/NSAIDS: Short term rest with nsaid's taken three times daily for one to two weeks and possibly wrist splints for support will usually suffice for most people. If not, time to get in and see your doctor. Beware of the nsaid's potential for stomach problems. There are natural antiinflammatories you can take for prevention. Tag me for more info on these.
