Biliary stones.: Since you have had your gallbladder removed, you are less likely to have biliary disease due to gallstones, however that does not discount the possibility. Your elevated bills do point to a possible early obstruction. I would suggest that you have an ultrasound of the biliary tree or MRCP. Could be...: You didn't mention how far out of surgery you were. It could be a stone in the common bile duct. Even after removal, stones could develop in the liver and still get stuck causing pain. There could have been a stone left over from surgery. It could also be a process unrelated to your gall bladder causing it as well, such as pancreatitis. ...Read more
