What could be the cause of lower back pain and a missed period?

Are they related: It could be a multitude of things, and perhaps not related. If you missed your period, pregnancy should be ruled out, then given your age it is possible your period is irregular due to peri menopausal symptoms. You should have regular pap smears and gyn exam to know you are cancer free. The back pain could be absolutely anything, and if you are overall healthy, don't assume it is dangerous.

Could be Pregnant: It's a little too early to take a home pregnancy test but if you have been sexually active w/o birth control you could be pregnant. Your doctor can do a more sensitive test by drawing your blood to see if you are pregnant. If you had unprotected sex I would advise being tested for stds and pregnancy since you have vaginal discharge.

PCOS migraine: Complicated. Migraines can make nausea and run in families. There are treatments to help attacks as well as reduce likelihood of episodes. Pcos is more complicated. For good information go to http://www.Hormone.Org/diseases-and-conditions/womens-health/polycystic-ovary-syndrome.

Can lack of sleep cause lower back pain? 4-5 hours/night. Can PCOS cause back pain? No period 4 yrs I've only started having back pain for a month

Internship memories!: I think you'll find your answers best addressed by a well-researched recent article in Time magazine about sleep disorders, nightmares, and post-traumatic stress. I recommend after reviewing the article that you ask your physician to direct you to the local sleep medicine specialist who can provide diagnostic and therapeutic options to achieve a full-night's sleep. Need further tests for back.

I've missed my period, awful lower back pain and sore breasts, but pg test is negative?

Not sure why: Reasons for missed / late period include: an anovulatory cycle in which no egg is released, marked v or ^ in weight; eating disorder; over-exercising (endurance athletics), stress, travel, significant illnesses, oral contraceptives ; other meds, illegal drug use, breast feeding, hormone imbalances and medical problems (i.e., pcos).

Complex: This is more complex than a simple blood test. See your doctor for a more complete evaluation. Many causes including stress, overwork, and high caffeine consumption are only a few things that could contribute to this. Hope this helps!

I have sore breasts really bad lower back pain and right hip pain have missed 2 periods and done 2 tests both negative?

Take pain medicine a: You need to go see a doctor to examine you and run some tests to help sort out what is wrong. For now take pain medication, either tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin but they work only for 6-8 hours, so you will have to repeat it 2-3 times a day. It is not uncommon to miss periods if your general health is not good. So you need to see a doctor soon.

Having lower back pain and still no period but on depo...?

Confused: Your profile says you are a male, but if you say you are not having periods, I'm thinking you must be female. It is common/normal to not have periods while on depo (i am assuming you mean depo-provera). Your back pain is probably not related.

Had novasure done in feb 2014 since then no period past couple of month I have spotting lower back pain and bloating?

Had novasure done in feb 2014 since then no period past couple of month I have spotting lower back pain and bloating?

? PMS: Up to half of the women who receive endometrial ablation with stop having periods; younger women are LESS likely to do so. Getting some monthly spotting and perhaps the associated symptoms of a period would not be unusual at all. Treat for symptom control as you would any period. If heavier bleeding returns or these symptoms persist/new develop, return to your doctor for evaluation. Good wishes!

No period since July 7 and lower back pain that travels to my right hip?

Menopause possible: The absence of regular menstruation may or may not signal menopause, but in the right setting it certainly makes it suspicious. Hot flashes, dryness on your skin/eyes and vagina, hair loss, insomnia, mood irritability, and decreased energy are all additional signs of menopause. There is also that remote possibility of pregnancy :) Lower back pain with radiation may mean sciatica unrelated.
