Yes if no anesthetic: Circumcision on an adult is usually performed under general anesthia or occasionally under local anesthesia. Either way is painless fruring operation. Local anesthetic injected into base of penis during operation helps for few hours after operation. Post-op pain intensity variable, worse when u have erection. Percocet works well for pain. Phimosis: Your husband probably needs to be circumcised. Those "cuts" will eventually be replaced by scar tissue and he won't be able to retract the foreskin.
