Swelling from an: infection can last days to weeks after the initial insult to the tissue, depending on the location. For parotid gland infection, it would take more time for swelling to go down, especially if there is a stone obstructing the parotid gland. If there are no stones per ENT physician, then use warm compresses to help the swelling. If it still hurts, you may need longer antibiotic treatment. ...Read more

Parotitis???: Most common thing that causes swollen parotid gland is infection with Mumps virus. Did you get the MMR vaccine when you were younger? When u get parotitis it obliterates thje angle of the jaw. you move back along the bottom of jaw bone and as it moves up towards your ear you can't feel it because of swollen gland. Depends: Phlebology or blood drawing by itself is a way to earn income but I do not know its pay scale. It seems to me that a medical assistant would be a better choice because in addition to phlebology, you would be able to assist a nurse or physician in an office environment . People become heroin addicts because they like the way they feel on heroin, they have a genetic predisposition toward opiate addiction, and usually (but not always) they are not coping well with the problems in their lives. As an aside, our internal body clock tends to lower body temp in the evening in preparation for sleep, so theoretically, a cold shower could mirror this cycle.
