Irritation: Any sort of irritation can cause your eye to twitch. Heat will dry out your eye, which causes irritation, and the pain is from having dry eyes. Not sure about vibrating veins though... :-) ...Read more

Eyelid: twitching is very common and many believe is due to EYE STRAIN....suggest you have a full eye exam...

BTW you can "stop" the twitching by closing your eyes as TIGHT as you can and holding it there for 60 seconds
(It works...try it!)
