What could cause white specks in stool? They're very small, almost like seeds or bits of feta cheese. Rest of stool is brown.
Probably not feta: Feta cheese would not look the same coming out, but sesame and other small seeds do look almost identical in your stool. Poss ulcer, but.....: Abdominal complaints and mucus in stool also could suggest the presence of inflammatory bowel disease. Flora off balance: Could be that your gut bacterial flora is off balance. Try taking acidophilus supplements for a few weeks to see if this restores it. If not better, see MD for some bloodwork. No pain, no worry: Typically, you should not worry about the change of stool colors unless red/blood or tarry black and/or abdominal pain/fever etc...Having some color change from day to day without other symptoms is quite normal and i would not worry.
