Can having a weak immune system cause me to get strep continuously?

Can having a weak immune system cause me to get strep continuously?

Strep Throat: It can but usually it it more often due to big and persistent tonsils and adenoids. Fortunately, recurrent strep throat is not one of the warning signs for an immune deficiency. Many times just taking out tonsils and adenoids cures the problem. If for see your allergist for possible IgA evaluation and/or allergy evaluation.

If I have a low immune system and I had abnormal cells removed cud they cum bck quicker before 6month check up cause of my weak immune system?

If I have a low immune system and I had abnormal cells removed cud they cum bck quicker before 6month check up cause of my weak immune system?

What is weak?: The term "immune system" is very broad and begins with an intact integument (skin & soft tissues). You have different types of wbcs, different types of lymphocytes and antibodies, and so on and so on. Be specific about what you think is 'weak', but suspect the 6 month check up will be fine and you need not be seen prior to that unless something unusual occurs. Good luck.

Not Really: Even though, Fludrocortisone is a steroid, it is a different type of steroid and will not immunosuppress you. It really is one of the effective means of treating orthostatic hypotension.

Symptoms of a weak immune system?

Symptoms of a weak immune system?

Infection & cancer: Your immune system works by recognizing when stuff in your body is different from you. Then it gets rid of that stuff. Such foreign stuff includes pathogens that cause infections like bacteria & viruses & normal cells that mutate into cancerous ones. So signs of a weak immune system are recurrent infection - usually respiratory or gastrointestinal - & decreased surveillance of cancerous changes.

How common is a weak immune system?

Low immunity: It is commonly called that and a lot of "stuff" is sold to boost it (notice no before and after tests to prove anything). Actually altered immunity is common and likely seen with allergic individuals. Selective deficiency of the immune system do exist but are less common. A good learning experience to help you understand this system is http://www. Nlm. Nih. Gov/medlineplus/immunesystemanddisorders. Ht.

It possible to have a weak immune system?

Often spoken about: Hard to measure, unless we speak of a specific immunodefficiency, like digeorge syndrome, bruton's agammaglobulinemia. We understand aids, the cause being hi, the deficiency in cd-4 t-lymphocytes. But "weak" immunity in cancer treatment is transient lowering of granulocytes.

Nutrition, exercise: If you keep your body fit through good nutrition and a regular exercise program, your immune system will likely function better. Do some people just have a "weak immune system" and catch more colds, flus, etc...?

Do some people just have a "weak immune system" and catch more colds, flus, etc...?

Opposite is true: This may seem backwards, but it is our own immune system that determines how sick we get with a cold or flu. Interesting study was done on people who "never get sick" and people who "always get sick". Both were infected with cold viruses and the people who "never got sick" didn't get sick even with virus in them. Some immune systems are over-enthusiastic and make you sicker than need be...
