Possibly: Damage to the endometrim can cause some scarring that may lead to infertility. The fact that you are 40 and have been trying to conceive for over a year means that you have infertility. If you are >35 yo you should only ttc for six months max. You may also have age-related egg factor at this point. By the time a woman reaches the age of 40, her chances of pregnancy are less than 5% per month.

Can scar tissue grow and fill in where your uterus used to be and cause another surgery?

Adhesions: Any time you have abdominal surgery you risk forming adhesions, which are really just a kind of abdominal scar tissue. If you form adhesions that obstruct your bowel, etc. You may need another surgery to take down the adhesions. It is a common complication, but having to have another operation is not.

Which one is the most dangerous fibroid? Submucosal, intramural or subserosal? (asked related to the scar caused to uterus after myomectomy)?

Can endometriosis w/ weak pelvic floor cause smell from rectum to be emitted when uterus contract if scar tissues are attached to rectum?

Not likely: Severe endometriosis involving the colon or rectum will usually cause obstructive symptoms before any bleeding due to endometriosis occurs. Smell is more likely a function of your diet or if you have some type of infection of gyn or rectal origin.

Bladder infection: A great explanation for pain exactly where you are describing would be a bladder infection. Go in for a urine test and exam to see if this is possible.

Hi Doctor, can hysteroscopy surgery (to remove the uterus polyps) cause scar tissue in the uterus and cause difficulties for fertile egg to implant?

If you have only: A few polyps and the surgery is done correctly, it shouldn't contribute to future fertility. There remains significant surface area for an embryo to implant. Nonetheless, this is a very good question and one I encourage you to discuss with your gyn surgeon. Best wishes!!!

What is easy method to detect uterine scars?

What is easy method to detect uterine scars?

Inside or outside?: Do you mean a scar from a c-section or scarring inside the uterine cavity? If inside the cavity, imaging like hysterosalpingogram or saline infusion sonogram would be least invasive. These methods inject fluid into the uterus to outline the cavity. A hysteroscopy can also detect uterine scarring with a camera slipped into the uterus through the cervix. A c-section scar is seen with ultrasound.

When the uterine lining sheds, can it leave a scar?

When the uterine lining sheds, can it leave a scar?

No scar: The uterine lining, the endometrium, gets thicker during the first half of the menstrual cycle such as to provide a cushion for a fertilized egg to implant. When there is no fertilized egg implanting, the uterus with contractions (cramps) loosens and sheds the inner lining, making clots appear in menstrual blood. This process is not associated with scarring.

Mri pelvic report :small csection scar along anterior uterine body, lobular abnormal thickening of junctional zone upto 12mm in keeping adenomyosis-?

Adenomyosis: Adenomyosis is when the blood lining of the endometrium invades the muscle of the uterus. It can cause the uterus to become enlarged, boggy, and painful. It is also associated with heavy abnormal bleeding. Endomteriosis with when that same lining travels to other places in the body. The MRI description could describe both of these.

Possibly: Bleeding irregularity can come from problems in c section scars but this is not that common. Your doctor could do a hysteroscopy and easily examine it as well as the rest of the uterine cavity. Management will depend on your future fertility plans.
