What might be the cause of having a tight, anxious feeling in my stomach when I awaken and sometimes in the daytime. Are there any OTC meds for this?
Most likely anxiety: Brief medical history suggests symptoms are related to anxiety. Before taking over the counter meds suggest talking about treatment options (especially if you have been on lorazepam long term) and ruling out other physical causes of anxiety/stomach tightness with your provider. If anxiety is the source, would recommend referral for behavioral therapy or psychiatrist for more in depth treatment.
Acid inc in stomach: anxiety or stress is most likely the answer. These conditions frequently cause one to over secrete stomach acid and also triggers involuntary muscle spasm and tightness, both of which can contribute to the feeling that you describe. Utilizing an antacid such as Tums (calcium carbonate) or Gellusil or any other ant-acid product will help neutralize the hyper (increased) acidity, thus helping to relieve symptoms.

Why does GAD cause my stomach to be so tight and wake me every morning and start the anxiety cycle all over again? Any OTC med might help??
No OTC med: There are no non-prescription meds that reliably treat generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). In addition to tranquilizers such as Lorazepam (listed on your profile), there are also buspirone (Buspar) & the SSRI antidepressants, which treat GAD & are non-addictive. They are not OTC. Psychotherapy can help as well.

Electrophysiologist says my LBBB will not cause me to die exercising. My function is good and rhythms are normal. Why tight stomach with exertion?
Probably: Because your abdominal muscles are deconditioned. If you have been given the ok to exercise then continue and see if the tightness resolves with further exercise.
Hello. I was wondering if you know what might cause me to feel my pulse in my stomach. Also, feels kind of tight and sometimes hurts when pressed on.
The aorta.: Depends on age. If you are a smoker over the age of 65 or had a tearing pain in your abdomen or history of severe abdominal trauma I would be concerned about an aneurysm. If none of those are true I suspect this is just your aortic pulse. In thin people you can sometimes feel it quite clearly.
Possibly: Sudafed is pseudoephedrine, which has some similar activities on the parasympathetic (involuntary) nervous system; it may increase the pulse, increase blood pressure (usually at higher doses than 30mg); it's possible that in some people it may increase peristaltic movements of the bowel muscles, and thereby cause some bloating and a sensation of tightness.
Many things: Anything from gas to ulcers can cause these feelings. If you're able to keep fluids down and not have a high fever, things should be fine. If symptoms worsen, see your family doctor.
