Steroids: would be most likely to reverse the problem. Steroids by mouth, such as a Prednisone taper would probably work the best. Steroids reduce inflammation (swelling) and that should stop the pain. Are you sure it was related to eating corn? That seems like an unusual reaction, especially if there are no other symptoms. ...Read more
