What Causes Spots On The Lungs
Hives that warn: Not the urticaria, but occasionally urticaria can be associated with conditions that can show chest x-ray changes such as infection, hodgkin's lymphoma, and other cancers. You need to pursue this immediately!
Deoxygenated blood enters the lungs from the right side of the heart and travels to the lungs. When you inspire, oxygen flows into the lungs, transverses the capilliares and attaches to hemoglobin down a gradient. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more
Ct with dye fnd spots in kidneys, radio thought they may be angiomyolipoma but cld not b sure. Also chronic changes in lung bases. Any cause 4 concern?
Angiomyolipoma Dx: The addition of MRI to rule out angiomyolipoma helps a little. It is also a good way to follow the lesion to see if it grows (no radiation and the dye is safer). Chronic lung changes in a 35 yo is nonspecific and needs clinical correlation. Some folks may do breathing tests if there are symptoms like shortness of breath, even if only for baseline. Everyone should quit smoking ASAP.See 1 more doctor answer
Can u tell me what cause so much of pain in back have COPD 3 spot on lung cought all time hurt to breaher in deep?
Many possibilities: Age not given nor if you do or don't smoke or if you did in the past. Cough can be related to a constant irritation of your lung tubes or an irritating process in your lung breathing tissue. The cough could be related to the "spots" in your lung. Hard and/or frequent cough can hurt the back and strain chest wall muscles. You need to see your Dr. Soon for full evaluation. Spot cause must be IDed.
Can the spot on my right lung cause me to throw up blood or is it just from coughing answer asap never smoked?
Coughing: Either way you can cough up blood from a spot on the lung or from hacking too much. If symptoms persist, make an appointment with your physician for a definitive answer.
High fevers, coughing up mucus with blood, bad smell from mucus&body skin. X-ray showed black spot on lung is this a cause of being a 40year smoker?
Reg Chest CT showed 2mm lung spot that was there 6 months ago and unchanged. Prior CRC 1/09, HR for liver met 4/12. CEA is normal. What could be cause?
Chest nodule: The good news is small. Hasn't changes in 6 m & CEA normal Many tiny nodules are scars from prior infections. Standard protocol is to monitor with CT every 6 mos x 2 years and if stable not to worry.
Possible: May have an infection or other condition in the lung and best to see a pulmonologist.
I have these dry patches of red/pink spots on my stomach and under my chest. They don't itch. What could cause these?
Many sources...: Many medical conditions can cause spots to form on lungs. The most common in the US include prior tuberculosis infection and/or prior histoplasmosis infection (a fungal infection). These spots may be called "nodules" by your doctor. If they are small (less than 8 mm) they may be followed over time with repeat/serial scans of the chest. If in 2 years they do not change they are benign.See 2 more doctor answers
Are dark brown spots on back and chest caused by acne for 6 years permanent or can they be removed?
Will face eventually: These often take several years to fade. I hope your acne is being managed; especially when it is on the trunk, it usually requires systemic treatment.
What can cause dark spots on a chest x-ray? There are several black spots on my chest x-rays. I thought tumors where white, so what could these be?
The: The first thing to know about a chest x-ray is that dark things represent air or fat, which white things represent fluid, tissue, and bone. Therefore, "dark spots" on a chest film, especially if they are in the lungs, most likely represent holes. Lungs with a lot of disease--especially in smokers--can develop large cavities called bullae. Dark spots in the ribs or the bones of the spine and shoulders may represent destructive processes like infection or tumor. When people talk about "spots" on a chest film they're usually talking about white spots. White spots in the lungs can be caused by pneumonia or other infections, areas of partial lung collapse, or tumors. Extremely white spots can represent calcium deposits, as are often present iin the arteries of people with vascular disease and in the lining of the chest wall in people with asbestos exposure. Chest films can be some of the most challenging xrays to read, because just about every disease out there causes some kind of abnormality in the chest. The list of differential diagnoses (that is, the possible causes of an abnormality) is very long.See 2 more doctor answers
What would cause blotchy dry pink spots to spread all over my chest? They don't itch and look like tinea versicolor or pityriasis rosea.
Chest spots: Tinea versicolor (aka pityriasis versicolor) is a chronic fungal infection of the skin characterized by sharply bordered, scaly, red-tan patches on trunk, upper arms, neck that do not tan. ± itch. Tx is antifungals like clotrimazole/ketoconazole/miconazole. Otc selenium shampoo (leave on 10 min) can help. Pityriasis rosea is viral rash (probably) that lasts 3-12 wks, starting with —>.
I get red blotchy spots on my chest and upper arms when stressed or upset. I know it is caused mainly by anxiety but is there any remedy for this?
Anxiety & skin rash: Stress and anxiety can trigger or worsen skin conditions such as urticaria (hives). The key is to control your anxiety. Antidepressants can be helpful for preventing acute anxiety attacks. To control your skin rash due to anxiety, you can try cool compresses or take antihistamines. I have found doxepine, an antidepressant with a strong antihistamine effect, to be helpful in stress-induced rash.See 1 more doctor answer

Causes for Petechiae with platelets at 331? Occasional petechia spots on chest and legs... Diagnosed but doctor doesn't know what it could be
Petechia normal CBC: Occasionally no cause can be found, in these cases is Indicated to perform: a "platelets function assay" as well request a capillary function, but the patient are very symptomatic. Petechia refers to one of the three descriptive types of bleeding into the skin differentiated by size, the other two being purpura and ecchymosis. Petechiae are by definition less than 3 mm. The term is almost always used in the plural, since a single lesion is seldom noticed or significant. The most common cause of petechiae is through physical trauma such as a hard bout of coughing, holding breath, vomiting or crying, which can result in facial petechiae, especially around the eyes. Petechiae in this instance are harmless and usually disappear within a few days. Petechiae may be a sign of thrombocytopenia (low plateletcounts) when platelet function is inhibited (e.g., as a side effect of medications or during certain infections), or in clotting factor deficiencies. They may also occur when excessive pressure is applied to tissue (e.g., when a tourniquet is applied to an extremity or with excessive coughing or vomiting). If unsure, petechiae should always be quickly investigated. They can be interpreted as vasculitis, an inflammation of the blood vessels, which requires immediate treatment to prevent permanent damage. Some malignancies can also cause petechiae to appear. Petechiae should be investigated by a doctor to rule out the more dangerous conditions. The significance of petechiae in children depends on the clinical context in which they arise. Petechiae in children can occur with viral infections. In this instance, they do not necessarily signify a serious illness. However, they are a hallmark signal of some potentially serious illnesses, such as meningococcemia, leukemia, and certain causes of thrombocytopenia, of which meningococcemia can cause death within 48 hours of infection. Therefore, their presence should not be ignored. Petechiae (in the face) may also be present in cases of asphyxiation.
I have red itchy spots randomly all over my legs, stomach & chest. They itch horribly. I do have Lyme disease could it be related or other causes?!
Not sure of the:
Context. Lyme disease is an infection. It can have a rash and would need treatment. Mostly people mean "I think I might have had lyme disease sometime in the past". And the organism would certainly be entirely gone with treatment. While one can have an injury from it, it is less likely to have rash from treated lyme than treated gunshot wound.
