Talk more than 2 hr: Perhaps you are experiencing some hypoglycemic episodes from not eating properly or from anxiety. Be sure to eat every few hours with a good protein meal and eat a snack just before talking. Try meditation for any anxiety.

Whenever I yell or talk for too long I find that I have a shortness of breath. It feels like something is blocking my airways/breathing. Asthma?

Possible: Asthma causes shortnes of breath, cough, and musical wheezing during exhalation which the doctor may hear on examination even if you don't hear it. It is very treatable. If you feel it on talking it probably is slowing you down in other ways so why not get examined by your doc or school nurse?

See your doctor!: Complications from cardiac ablation are rare but can include blood clots forming in the legs or lungs. This is called a PE, and could cause shortness of breath. It's also possible (depending on the approach used) to have a partial lung collapse. See your doctor to rule out any serious problem causing your shortness of breath.

May be nl or not: You need to wear a 24 hour monitor (holter) to see what your heart is doing when you're having your symptoms to see what it could be.

I have been suffering from tight chest and shortness of breath. While talking I would start chocking and start coughing continuously. My GP did give me small white tablets that was said to be steroids but it didn't help. What else can be done.

Vocal cord?: This may be from a vocal cord dysfunction which at times may be triggered by reflux. The lack of response to steroid points away from asthma being the problem. Consult an ENT who is knowledgeable about vocal cord issues.

Cough for more than three weeks. No fever. Shortness of breath but work not really affected. One trigger of cough when speaking. What is this?

Cough: A 3 week cough is a long time. If you are SOB, it may be asthma. Coughing spasms occur with pertussis or whooping cough. See your doctor for an exam to help with the diagnosis. All the best. You may need an XR.

Could smoking weed causes shortness of breath?

Yes: Yes, both short term and long term use can do this. Especially if you have asthma or COPD (emphysema). Just don't do it if you get short of breath when you do it. Chronically, (no pun intended) it can cause other problems as well.
