Could be Giardia: Giardiasis, a parasite, lives in the upper small intestine and classically causes "sulfur burps". Usually contracted from drinking non city water - for example on a camping trip. Possibly: Excess fiber and not enough fluids. Remember, anything with caffeine or alcohol dehydrates and therefore creates an imbalance of fiber and fluids. Drink 80-100 ounces caffeine free/alcohol free fluid daily and eat a high fiber diet. Go to PCP first.: There are too many differential diagnosis some of which are : gallbladder stones causing cholecystitis, food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, specific foods that cause bloating like beans, cabbage types of vegetables, other types of colitis.
