Hearing & Balance: Tumors of the inner ear are not common. The most common tumor of the ear would be an acoustic neuroma which is benign and not cancer. Most present with hearing loss — usually gradual but can be sudden. Tinnitus (abnormal sound in the ear) is possible as well. Check out this link: Unfortunately, there's no cure for tinnitus. However, fortunately it's not a fatal condition. Consider seeing an ENT specialist esp. Doc changed my bystolic (nebivolol) to vasotec, now have roaring in ears. Appt w/ doc in 3 wks, what to do in meantime? Beta blockers have always worked better.
Vasotec (enalapril) problmes: You should call your physician (p) to discuss your problem. Your p had a reason to change your medication and if you have problems with vasotec (enalapril) (v) to let the p know. Not likely: This does not sound like the typical presentation of an avm. Avms or av fistulas near the head regions have been reported to have a bruit which is a roaring type sound. However, these tend to be constant. You should have this checked out by a physician. ...Read more
