What Causes Red Eyes After Shower
Multiple factors: There are multiple factors. Certainly getting soap or other chemicals into the eyes will make them red. Just the heat from the steam and hot water is enough to dilate the blood vessels of the conjunctiva which makes the eyes look red.
I woke up 2days ago with a red eye. No pains no itches no discharge, just redness. What are the possible causes.
Dry eye-blepharitis: Drying can occur during sleeping, especially if someones eyes do not close completely. Actually, pretty common issue especially if some one has had eyelid surgery in past. Also, lid blepharits is common. Try some otc systane liquigel drops or systane gel at bed. If problem persists, see your eye doc.
Too many to list: Holy cow, there are so many answers to this question, there is not enough room to even list all the most common causes. You should narrow down your question with associated symptoms, or go see an ophthalmologist.See 1 more doctor answer
Red = Irritation: Redness is due to dilation of blood vessels and can occur with irritation. Irritation may stem from dryness, chemical exposure, allergy, autoimmune disorder, glaucoma, uveitis, viral conjunctivitis, bacterial conjunctivitis, surgery, trauma, uv exposure or burn, infection, and much much more. A good eye doc can help you narrow it down.See 1 more doctor answer
Dry eyes: Could be allergy, but more common is dry eyes from being on the computer, reading, forgetting to blink. The tears are needed to bring nutrition to the cornea (clear window) and take away waste products and debris from the world. When they can't or don't, the conjunctiva tries to do that work by making the blood vessels larger. Blink, use artificial tears, but most of all do not rub!

My eyes have felt a little bit gritty over the past few days. No other symptoms like swollen or red eyes. How can I fix this? What causes this?
Dry eyes: Your symptoms sound typical of some dry eyes. Try using some artificial tears several times a day for awhile to see if this helps. I notice that you're on thyroid placement therapy. Also make sure your doctor checks your thyroid levels if that has not been done for awhile.See 1 more doctor answer
Many things: Depending on the other eye symptoms, onset, duration, etc this could represent a variety of different eye conditions from simpler things like dry eye or ocular allergy to more serious disorders such as contact lens overwear or a corneal infection. You should see an eye doctor for further evaluation if the symptoms worsen.See 2 more doctor answers
