Nerve impingement: Can be caused by being sandwiched between two spinal bones, pressed by a bulging disc. It can cause muscle spasm and back pain and burning pain. This condition must be professionally managed. See an interventional pain management specialist for definitive diagnosis and management. See your dentist for tooth pain.
Seek examination: It is possible that you have either a nerve injury to the muscles of your shoulder or you could have an injury to the tendon and the dent is a result of atrophy of the muscle from lack of use. I would recommend a visit with your local orthopedic surgeon for evaluation, examination and possible imaging if necessary.
Depends: Pain in this area can have many causes, from a herniated disc in here neck to simple overuse or postural issues. A more thorough history of your symptoms and physical exam are needed to advise you.
Many possibilities: The differential is long but here are a few of the more common considerations: referred pain from the cervical spine (particularly c5 which supplies some of the muscles of the scapula), intrinsic shoulder pathology (impingement syndrome, rotator cuff tears...), brachial neuritis (parsonage turner syndrome) and entrapment neuropathies (dorsal scapular nerve). Please meet with your doc. Good luck.
Musculoskeletal: There could be many causes for pain. It could be bone, muscle or radiated pain from somewhere else. You may wanna go to pcp and get checked.
See your doctor: Several things can cause pain in the shoulder. You should see your doctor for a thorough evaluation. Only through this can he/she tell you what's going on and wha to do for it.
Muscle Pain: There are some muscles that attach right on the shoulder blade called the rhomboid muscles and you may have strained one of those at the attachment. Usually we use these muscles when our arm is above our shoulder so perhaps some activity strained this. If pain doesn't resolve over next seven days or so you should get checked as sometimes the lungs can cause pain around the shoulder blade.
Referred Pain?: The same nerves that innervate the diaphragm go to the shoulder, as well. Therefore, anything that irritates the diaphragm, such as gallbladder or liver problems, can be "referred" to the shoulder. If the only symptom is shoulder pain (ie, no abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, etc), I would search for other causes such as a muscle pull, arthritis.
Anything from muscle: Soreness 2 pulmonary in origin. Only a visit 2 Ur PCP or internist who can do a hands on exam as well as possible imaging will get an answer, & if not referral 2 a specialist May be needed.
Yes: It may put stress on the muscles supporting the shoulder blade. These muscles are important for posture and shoulder function.

Pain: Pain below the shoulder is very likely muscular. It is possible you may have a pulled muscle causing sharp pain. However, at your age there are several other possibilities such as shingles. Please see your doctor for proper evaluation. Also, note any other symptoms such as shortness of breath, sweating, burning pain etc.
Several options: If you've had a recent laparoscopic procedure, the gas utilized during that procedure can case shoulder pain for several days. Other than that, pain in that area could be caused by a thoracic radiculopathy or a trigger point, among other things. See a physician if symptoms persist or are severe.
Yes: Cervical stenosis can cause radiating pain anywhere from the neck, through the shoulder region and into the arm. It could also refer pain down near towards the blade, or there could be concurrent myofascial pain. With proper medication and physical therapy, if there's no neurologic compromise, the symptoms should be controlled. Should see a medical doctor.
Lots: Lots of things, but a pulled muscle would be one cause.
Pain behind the bottom right side of head for past two weeks. Radiates down to right shoulder blade?
Muscle or nerve: This could be an inflamed muscle or pinched/irritated nerve. If there has been no strain or injury, I recommend applying intermittent moist heat and, if you can take them, NSAIDS like ibuprofen or Aleve (naproxen). If there is worsening of pain on turning the neck, wear a soft cervical collar. See your Physician if symptoms worsen or persist and xrays May be ordered to look for arthritis or neck spurs.
