Can diabeties cause one testicle to swell up?

Can diabeties cause one testicle to swell up?

Get it checked.: Diabetes does not cause swelling directly, but can predispose you to a number of conditions that could lead to scrotal swelling. Infections of a testicle or epididymis can cause warm, tender swelling on one side. Kidney damage, or diabetic nephropathy can lead to scrotal edema. If you have swelling of the scrotum, or feel new asymmetry between the testes, get checked by your physician. ...Read more

Why would one testicle hang much lower than the other one? Spermatocele cannot cause this right? Noticed my left testicle hanging low about 1 wk. Ago

Why would one testicle hang much lower than the other one? Spermatocele cannot cause this right? Noticed my left testicle hanging low about 1 wk. Ago

Not abnormal: There is actually an interesting anatomical reason for this. Right gonadal vein empties directly into vena cava. Left empties into renal vein with slightly higher pressure. Thus the above findings you noted can be seen in some men with no abnormal findings. ...Read more

Can a spermatocele cause your testicle to hang much lower than normal? Have one above the left one and it is hanging abnormally low and doesn't retract

Spermatocele: Spermatocele is an abnormal retention cyst or collection of fluid at the epididymis (the "cap" on the back of the testis) or rete testis and depending on the size could cause your left testis to hang "differently" than the right. You should be examined by a physician however, and if bothersome, you could have the spermatocele removed. ...Read more

What could be the cause of one of my husband's testicle being the size of his fist? In the last eight months (since july until now) it has gradually grown quite considerably. He has also lost weight.

The: The most worrisome thing would be testicular cancer. This is most common in men in their 20's and 30's or in their 60's and 70's.

There are other things that can cause one side of the scrotum to be enlarged, including hernia, fluid collections called hydroceles, cysts, and varicose veins. An infection or bleeding could do it, too, but not over a period of 8 months.

It is imperative that your husband see a urologist as soon as possible. It must be assumed that he has cancer until proven otherwise. Testicular cancer, caught early, responds well to treatment, but he's already wasted 8 months. ...Read more

Can epididymitis on one testicle cause infertility?

Here are some. ..: See urologist so to confirm if you've suffered from recurrent testicular torsion (twisting) with spontaneous detorsion (untwisting). Does one sided cryptorchidism cause infertility in men? Does a man with one healthy testicle have a lower sperm count?

Does one sided cryptorchidism cause infertility in men? Does a man with one healthy testicle have a lower sperm count?

Likely fertile: Sperm count will probably be within normal limits because remaining testicle will grow larger (compensatory hy[pertrophy) and thus produce more sperm than if it were 1 of a pair, but count may be slightly reduced. Semen volume is unaffected and normal because >95% is produced by the seminal vesicles, prostate and cowper's glands. Sperm is no > 5% of ejaculate.. ...Read more
