What Causes Neck Pain With Tingling Into Chin
I have neck pain and stiffness. I have tingling and numbness in hands and fingers and some tingling in buttocks area. I also struggle with anxiety/p attacks. Xrays show degen. In neck. What to do?
Your best bet: Is to review these issues with your primary care doctor. They could be anxiety related but may also be related to another process. A good formal neurologic evaluation is necessary to make sure further evaluation beyond the x-rays you report, if any other testing is warranted. Best of luck.See 2 more doctor answers
When I lay down with my head prompted up on pillow like chin to chest. Could that cause lt side neck pain and numb tingling in lower jaw and cheek?
Neck pain: Yes that position could cause impingement of a nerve to produce your symptoms. You need a complete history and physical examination done and probably imagining of your neck.
I'm experiencing an episode where I felt weakness in my arms, and I could barely make a fist. I also have neck pain, and a tingling feeling in my head?
Weakness in arms: I think it would be a good idea for you to see a Psychologist. He/she will work you through the problems and then help you feel improved. One clinic visit is not likely to be enough. You must follow the advice of the Psychologist!
Chronic neck pain radiating into shoulders arms and down spine, unable to raise arms above head and weakness down arms n tingling in fingers.?
Nerve pressure: You may have a disc problem or degenerative changes in the cervical (neck) spine with pressure on the nerves. In a few people, these symptoms go along with pressure at the top of the spine such as the chiari malformation. If your symptoms do not settle down, you should see your doctor. Other causes are possible. A lot will depend on your neurological examination. Diagnostic studies may be needed.See 1 more doctor answer
Likely ansiety: Any symptoms that has lasted this long should be evaluated in person by your physician. Check thyroid, hormones, electrolytes, your iron specially if you have heavy menses, your B12 level and rule out mitral valve prolapse. Then if normal, cut out any alcohol and caffeine in your diet and stay well hydrated. If dizziness means room spinning, then you need to see an ent.
Severe arm and hand tingling like electric shock when I tilt my head back Also neck pain arm numbness?
Radiculopathy: It sounds like a disc has herniated in your neck or some other issues closing off the opening your nerve roots run through to exit the cervical spine. These are classic symptoms and I recommend seeing a physician sooner than later to identify if there is anything emergent or surgical necessity to avoid arm paralysis. You may not need anything but a Medrol (methylprednisolone) dose pack, but get checked to be sure.

Face tingling around eyes and nose accompanied by neck pain. Pain is worse when lying down. Ct and MRI of head came back fine. What could be causing it?
Cervicl radiculopath: It is possible that you have cervical radiculopathy but the CT or MRI should have seen that. Usually however this does not manifest with face tingling around the eyes and nose. Bells palsy is also a possibility as this would not show up on an MRI or CT scan. I'm curious to know if you saw a neurologist as this would be a good specialist to see.
Neck pain and face tingling/spasms. Sometimes arm/hand tingling. MRI and CT of head/brainboth fine. Problem occurs mostly during long computer hours e?
Nerves: Did your MRI include the upper spinal column? Have you had any blood test, specifically calcium levels? The differential includes: Over-use injury (over use causing local inflammation and irritation of the nerves); a "pinched" or impinged nerve, or it could also be an electrolyte abnormality like low calcium causing the nerves to be more prone to tetanic activity.See 1 more doctor answer

? Pinched nerve: In your neck area, may not show on imaging studies, rest your neck, non-steroidals as ibuprofen, unless contraindicated, and physical therapy guided by your treating doctor, may take few weeks to recover, the follow up with and conservative therapy will work, if no improvement otherwise, you may need to see a spine surgeon or a neurosurgeon, good luck

Got new mattress, 2 months hurts, wake up daily pain. Now back/neck pain, tingling in face. Did sleeping on too hard surface cause damage? What to do
Back & neck pain: A hard mattress is supposed to be good for your back, if you can't return it give a little it a little longer time to get used to it, you can also use a soft foam mattress padding to give you some comfort. Tingling of the face most likey has nothing to do with the mattress, you need to see your doctor for that to rule out facial palsy & also to check you for your neck & back pain. Feel better.
Other than physical therapy and stretches, what else can I do for chronic neck pain? It causes neck stiffness, numbess/tingling and pain.
Mult. Possibilities: Multiple possibilities. You might have a "pinched nerve" in the neck. This can be caused by a disc bulge in the neck that is pressing or irritation a nerve. Other causes could include muscle pain due to tightness/ poor posture other neurologic causes need to be ruled out. Carpal tunnel syndrome is a possibility as well. See your doctor for diagnostic testing and an appropriate treatment program.See 1 more doctor answer
