I have new symptom. Low blood pressure and fast pulse. Just keep adding symptoms.

Sorry to hear it: Depending on your heart rate, the low BP could be a result of your abnormally fast hr. Alternatively, both can be due to intravascular contraction: bleeding, anemia and dehydration. You should get checked. ...Read more

Hypotension (Definition)

Hypotension is defined as "low blood pressure". Blood pressure is measured as two numbers and expressed as systolic blood pressure (sbp) / diastolic blood pressure (dbp). The sbp is the pressure that is generated when the heart squeezes. Dbp occurs when the heart relaxes. 120/70 is considered normal in adults. Less than 100/60 (of either number) can ...Read more

I always have low blood pressure but have high pulse (usually at least 95 at resting) what is possible cause? Should i be concerned?

Not unless dizzy: Generally, the blood pressure rises with age sometimes resulting in hypertension.
The heart rate of 95 is on the faster side for resting, but may still be normal for you.
Make sure you are not dehydrated. Symptoms of heat intolerance, dry skin, hair loss, can suggest high thyroid. Your doctor may want to check this. Go to er if dizziness, short of breath, fatigue, and/or passing out. ...Read more

Went to the ER with fast pulse low blood pressure . Was their CBC test sufficient enough to rule our sepsis?

InfectDoesn't=sepsis: Sepsis is at the severe end in a broad range of infection sequelae. A CBC can be quite telling when we are looking for infection, but the physical exam is just as if not more important when looking at a septic patient. They didn't rule-out the diagnosis just based on the CBC, they used it as an added piece of information...another piece in the puzzle to explain your symptoms. ...Read more

If u have low blood pressure 80/60 but ur pulse is 180 . Why is that?

Go to the E.R.!!: Many things can cause a heart rate of 180 and low blood pressure of 80/60, unfortunately none of them are good. Arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation or flutter and supra-ventricular tachycardia can cause hypotension. Other conditions would be significant dehydration or anemia. You need to get this checked out immediately! if it is only sporadic, get to the E.R. Immediately when it occurs! ...Read more

What does it mean when someone has a low blood pressure and a slow pulse?

Nothing by itself: Pulse and BP are just numbers, and mean almost nothing in isolation. More important is the patient...Are they sick? Well? Dizzy? Dehydrated? Feel great? Just had a heart attack?

Granted, if a pulse or BP are too low, then doctors might be concerned no matter how they looked, but more important is the "rest of the story". ...Read more

29/f i've had extensive heart testing over the year and last month all turns out fine. Why do I have a weak pulse in the morning? low blood pressure?

Pulse=perception of: blood pressure which stretches artery walls as each heart contraction pushes out blood filling & stretching the arteries. This stretch is felt as a pulse. Most medical testing is of low value & for ↑$, esp. when people do not pay directly (i.e. via $ accumulators calling themselves "insurance") which routinely ↓es quality & ↑es all costs. Why? Because: http://goo.gl/Blh6rW. Good docs apply wisdom. ...Read more

Should blood pressure be higher sitting down or standing up. Wat causes low blood pressure.

Standing (at first): When you stand, less blood returns from the legs --> lowers cardiac output --> lowers blood pressure.
This should be a minor and transient effect. If you have problems with orthostatic hypotension, though, the blood pressure drop may be more severe & prolonged, and may even result in dizziness or in extreme cases fainting. ...Read more

What causes low blood pressure? What measures should be taken to regulate and what kinds of diet to take or avoid for betterment.

Pop diagnosis: You list yourself as having high blood pressure and this is serious; your physician can help you restrict salt and choose proper medicine. Although physicians in some nations disagree, I do not believe "low blood pressure" is a health problem. Your BP need be no higher than is required to perfuse your body, much as lincoln said your legs need be no longer than to reach the ground. ...Read more

What cause low blood pressure? What are its symptoms?

What cause low blood pressure? What are its symptoms?

Dubious idea: This is a "pop" diagnosis especially in parts of europe, and some physicians believe in it; it's used to explain a variety of symptoms (including folks i suspect are somatizing / just unhappy); it's not mainstream, and if somebody's symptomatic, i'd look for some other cause. The healthy heart keeps pressure just adequate to perfuse the body; "low" shouldn't be a problem. ...Read more

Blood Pressure (Definition)

Blood pressure is a measurement of the force placed on the blood vessels and is comprised of the "systolic" pressure (the top number on a blood pressure meter) which is the peak pressure when the heart is pumping, and the "diastolic" pressure (the bottom number on a blood pressure meter) which is the pressure during the resting phase ...Read more
