What all causes puss pockets on tonsils? Usually when I have these, I have strep, but I have no other strep symptoms.

I have tonsillitis. The pain/puss pockets was only on the left and now there is pain on the right. I went to the doctor a few days ago. I'm scared.
Tonsilliths : The pus pockets in the tonsils are related to crypts in the tonsil that fill with food them get infected and filled with pus. You can try a water pik device used for the gums and point it on the tonsils. Use a low setting like 2 or 3 to get used to the pressure.
