See your gyne MD: There are a number of possibilities, depending in part, what the reason was for your partial hysterectomy and when it was done. While possibly not related at all, your gynecologist should evaluate this initially, with a physical exam and ultrasound. This could be a problem with the uterus (recurrence), the ovary, adhesions from surgery, urinary tract infection or a gastrointestinal issue. ...Read more

I am having stabbing pain in lower pelvic area for 2 days now, I have had a hysterectomy 15 years ago. What seems to be the problem?

Depends: Stabbing pain is unlikely related to a Hysterectomy from long ago. Think Kidney stone - especially if the pain doubles you over. Think bowel if it comes and goes with your diet and bowel movements. You need an examination and blood/urine test to sort it out. ...Read more

I have been having a sharp pain in the lower right side of my abdomin. I was told that i might have abdominal wall pain. What exactlly is this?

Muscular Pain: The abdominal wall consists of multiple muscle layers. Like anywhere on the body, a pulled muscle can cause significant, lingering pain. Tough case: Chronic pelvic pain is one of the more difficult diagnoses to pin down. If it is cyclical (worse with periods) then consider endometriosis as a likely possibility. You might need a laparoscopy to make the diagnosis, as ultrasound is often not helpful. Other possibilities are urinary tract, bowel, or musculoskeletal related pain. You may need to see several docs to be sure. Good luck with this! ...Read more
