Various causes of: such type of acute cramping. May be due to electrolyte deficiencies/imbalance. Eg. not enough potassium. Some blood pressure meds can cause decrease in potassium. See your PCP. I've had the exact same experience: Although I am decidedly not an expert in this area, I am an experienced patient with those exact symptoms. Recently i've come to believe that the problem may be one of carbohydrate overload. On december 31 i gave up carbohydrates in within the confines of that diet have eaten whatever i like. I find that most of my aches and pains have evaporated, when i'm hungry i can simply ignore it and eat when it's more convenient to prepare good foodand have lost the 20 pounds i've been attempting to lose for the past 30 years. ...Read more
