Teething or sick?: Teething causes tiredness but maybe only from not sleeping or battling the pain of a tooth busting through.Teething does cause runny nose, slight cough, loose stools, some drooling, crankiness, etc. Hoarse voice might be a sore throat or laryngitis due to a viral infection. Hoarse Voice: Greetings. The most likely cause of your vocal changes is persistent swelling of your vocal cords. The cold is most commonly caused by a virus as is laryngitis. Give your voice a rest. Drink lots of liquids and avoid aggressive throat clearing. Ibuprofen is a good antiinflammatory that will help too. I assume you have no reflux and don't smoke.
