More history needed: When does this happen? Are you resting, working with your hands, have they been wet, wearing tight gloves for some time, exposed to chemicals.... There are many possibilities. Since I cannot see your skin, I cannot give further advice. Wishing you the best. ..
See your doctor: It is possibly Raynaud's. You need to be evaluated by your physician.

Red hands: W/exercise. This MAY be due to blood flow in that area triggered by the changes you mention. Please see doctor to make sure all is well. Peace and good health.
When ever it is really cold and im not wearing gloves, my hands turn red they swell and hurt very bad what is this?
Contact dermatitis: You may be using some cleaning materials to which your skin is quite sensitive and you are developing reactions to these. Try wearing protective gloves, and treat your hands afterwards with a topical aloe-containing lotion or a low dose topical steroid.
Have it evaluated: Some causes of swelling can include systemic problems such as hypertension, and problems with the kidneys and localized issues such as arthritis, cellulitis, lymphatic obstruction, blood clots, varicose veins, trauma (fracture, sprain, tendonitis) and side effects to medication. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
An allergist: Can help you figure out what you are reacting to, find one in your area at aaaai. Org or acaai. Org.

Could be: Several things from as simple as dry skin to something more like cholinergic urticaria/aquagenic pruritus. In the meanwhile make sure you are good about using a moisturizer and consider your doctor, as the later conditions are related to your allergic cells being "hypersensitive".See 2 more doctor answers
My hands sometimes turn red and start to feel hot, it's not painful more so just uncomfortable. It usually happens at night should I be worried?
Raynauds: I would be concerned for Raynauds. This is a condition where the blood vessels constrict and dilate. The problem itself is not an issue, but it is associated with other conditions like lupus for example.
Dilitation of cappil: Hot water causes the capilaries to dialate which will turn your skin red.
Stop taking it: I have never heard of or seen this reaction from any of my patients, or read it anywhere, but idiosyncrasies can occur with any drug, meaning people can have unusual reactions that can't be predicted or even explained always. Red/purple color changes usually mean there is some vascular problem, reduction of blood flow in arteries/veins. Talk to your doctor!
A lot of things: Mostly circulatory reasons. It depends upon what your circulation is when they aren't down. But also could be related to other factors such as exposure to cold. Sometimes my arm/hands start to hurt, pretty sure its a nerve, and when they do my palms turn red. What can I do for this?
First,: You must have some reason for believing this to be cervical nerve root or brachial plexus pain instead of muxculo-skeletal. If so, then I would absolutely see your doctor before it becomes worse with neurological impariment.
Why does skin turn red when you place an icepack it? Same with fingers why do hands turn red when put bare hands in cold snow for a minute?
Vasodilation: Your blood vessels respond to a cold stimulus by attempting to warm the area reflexly - this is done by dilating, which increases blood flow to the area and causes redness and warmness.See 1 more doctor answer
My hands turn red when hanging down by my side. When I raise them above heart they are normal but when I put them down again they turn beat red.?
Noticed that when I stop running, put hands to my side, & start walking my hands feel puffy, turn red & white dotted. Put hands over head to stop it.
May be normal: When you exercise, the blood vessels in your skin dilate to get rid of the heat generated by the muscle activity. The dilated blood vessels can cause puffiness. When you put your hands over head, that decreases the pressure in the veins. If it persists or is very annoying see a doctor to make sure there is no problem with your circulation.See 1 more doctor answer
