What Causes Fluid In The Hip Joint
Humming/buzzing sensation deep in the hip joint? This is new... Can there be one cause for similar feelings in many places at dif times?
I want to know if it's possible to cause a lot of soft tissue damage to a hip joint from falling on it. What tests should I get done to treat the pain?
Get a diagnosis: With persistent pain in the hip after a fall the first step is to be evaluated by a physician. An x-ray to evaluate for fracture would be a good idea. Possibly just a contusion or trochanteric bursitis. Hip pain can also be from a back injury. Not possible to diagnose without evaluation and a work up. ...Read more

Menstrual pain: It sounds like your menstrual pain is radiating to the hip joint. You may want to have a pelvic exam with your gynaecologist if this is new, or more severe than usual. Pain, as stated above, though, can radiate and it seems to come with menstrual cycle so related to that. ...Read more
Shoe Inserts and Hip: Subtle changes in shoes, insoles and orthotic devices can cause and help problems up the leg. If you simply switched an old shoe insert with a new insert, that alone probably did not cause the problem. My first guess would be that the shoes overall are beginning to break down and replacing the insoles was too late to help a developing hip problem. I would get a new shoe and test out this theory. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I keep waking up or being woken up by severe pain in my right hip joint. Sometimes, like today it lasts all morning. And causes acute pain when I try to use my right leg.
Sorry for your pain: Try lying flat on your back either on the floor or in bed. Bring your right knee up to about 90 degrees - like you are going to pull it to your chest but not so far. Slowly and gently, rotate your right knee towards the left. If it reproduces your pain, it could in fact be coming from the ball and socket hip joint.
