What Causes Finger Joints To Lock Up
A couple finger joints pop as if out of joint, stiff and feel "full" if that makes sense, all fingers hurt on both hands. What could be the issue?
I'm a pianist and violist with arthritic bone spurs in my finger joints (no pain). With viola, spurs get in the way of playing. Dissolution of spurs?
What would cause the joints in your fingers to "lock up". There is only a little pain but have to use the other hand to "pull up" the locked fingers.

Joint swelling is a sign of inflammation. If chronic, it can be related to a systemic cause such as autoimmune disorders (lupus), or age-related degenerative cause (osteoarthritis). If is is self-limited, a minor injury may be the cause. Calluses are caused by chronic pressure.
