Thoughts..: It could be post nasal dripping. This is a slow, constant drip to the back of the throat from the nose - can often be helped by allergy medicines. Possible nasopharyng: You either have chronic sinus infection or chronic infection above and behind the palate. Unlikely to be from dirt or dust being swept from nose into throat. Need to have ENT look into nose and behind palate to determine source of drainage and obtain secretions for culture. Chronic nasopharyngitis is very hard to eradicate.
