I'm a 28 year-old female. What causes excessive gas (at times feels trapped under shoulder blade & sometimes can't pass), bloating, burping, and back pain?
32 yr old female. Excessive gas, bloating. ARNP says it could be gluten foods. I think otherwise. Second opinion?

Go to PCP first.: There are too many differential diagnosis some of which are : gallbladder stones causing cholecystitis, food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, specific foods that cause bloating like beans, cabbage types of vegetables, other types of colitis. May take a while.: If you truly had a stomach infection then it will take a while to clear. The gas is all part of the process of getting back to normal. If you are having a lot of stress besides this can contribute to the gas and GI upset. You need to talk this over with your doc and plan the best treatment for you together.
