Obesity-->edema.: Because of the increase in intra-abdominal pressure due to obesity, venous return of blood from the legs to the heart is impaired, leading to fluid accumulation in the legs. Need clarification: Not sure if your mastectomy 2 years ago was followed by edema a day after surgery and has progressed now 2 years later to all over your body? Is this correct? The 2 may not be related, but requires a visual examination and history to see what it is all about. ...Read more
