Hypotension: You may be having orthostatic hypotension, a little drop in your blood pressure when you go from a sitting to a standing position. Drink lots of fluids. Consider visit with doctor to figure out if there is a primary reason for this, for example anemia or some other reason

Can ibuprofen cause dizziness when bending over or laying down after taking it a few days ago? Could that be the cause?

No: Especially if you took the medication a few days ago it should be out of your system by now, your body should have cleared the medication. Sounds like you have a possible problem with your inner ear. See your physician.

Sudden dizziness in rare episodes when standing up from a bending down position to pick up something from the floor cause? Htn & pcos

Sudden dizziness in rare episodes when standing up from a bending down position to pick up something from the floor cause? Htn & pcos

Orthostatic hypotens: You are experiencing orthostatic hypotension. When you band down and then get up quickly the blood has pooled in your legs. It needs time to make it up to your brain. You have receptors in your veins that cause theveins to pump the blood back to your heart so it can then be pumped to your brain. If you get up before the blood makes it there then you will get lightheaded or dizzy. I noticed that you have hypertension. You do not listwhich medication you are on. Such medications can make it more likely for you to experience orthostatic hypotension, as can dehydration. Make sure that you keep yourself well hydrated and stand up slowly from those positions and you should be fine. Best wishes.

Multiple reasons: If you are not overweight. There could be multiple reasons. The best way however to diagnose this is to have an event monitor (not a holter) in this way will be able to correlate your complaint with what ever the cause is. Further recommendations will be based on the results.

Can low blood pressure cause you to feel dizzy with eyes closed when lying down and fine every time else, like bending head side or down.?

Probably not: If low blood pressure is source of sensation you are calling dizziness, it would usually worse when you are upright. There are certain types of vertigo and disequilibrium that are worse when you have your eyes closed. Consider an evaluation with your pcp about whether your blood pressure is low or other causes for these symptoms.

Could lisinopril hctz cause sudden dizziness when standing up from a bending down position to pick something up off the floor? Htn pcos provera (medroxyprogesterone)

Yes...: It's called "orthostatic hypotension." basically, when you stand up, it takes a few seconds for the blood vessels to response to the change in gravity and position and keep enough blood going to your head. In the interval, you may feel dizzy or lightheaded. You want to make sure that your blood pressure isn't lower than it needs to be, and that you're drinking enough water.

.: Appears like vasovagal episodes. If you are ready on blood pressure medication and are getting these episodes contact your cardiologist at the earliest. You may need adjustment of your medications.

Many things: Can cause "dizziness" and much more information is needed to try to sort this out. You might find some helpful information at dizzinessandbalance. Com. You could also get a formal consult here on Health Tap. Or you may need to be seen to get a definitive diagnosis. Good luck!

Many causes: The many causes include anxiety, low blood pressure, sinus headache, orthostatic/positional hypotension, medications, vasovagal, dehydration, etc. Don't make sudden changes in position. Orthostatic: That is a symptom of orthostatic hypotension - meaning an abnormal drop of BP upon standing. This can be due to dehydration. Try drinking more fluids during the day. If it worsens or you actually pass out you should see your doctor for further tests.

Weird dizziness when laying down but no dizziness when bending head up back or side. Do you think it's neck related? I don't think it's bppv help

Vertebral artery: If you have neck problems, the cause of dizziness can be benign or related to an interruption of blood flow in the vertebral artery. If this is a new problem, see a neurologist.

Small ischemic stroke 2006 to left cordite. Dizziness really bad now. Turning over when in bed or bending down. Is it related to the stroke? Thanks

Small ischemic stroke 2006 to left cordite. Dizziness really bad now. Turning over when in bed or bending down. Is it related to the stroke? Thanks

Less likely: Sounds like your symptoms are positional and may relate to condition called benign paroxysmal positional vertigo that can be further evaluated by a neurologist or ENT doctor. However, given the history of stroke, seeing a doctor anytime you have new neurological symptom as soon as possible is extremely important!

Vertigo: It appears that your mother has vertigo, possibly related to a prior infection or other condition. I recommend having her see an ENT specialist (ears nose and throat) to see what additional tests she would need done.
