What Causes Cysts On Ovaries After Follistim
I have three cysts after using clomid and follistim last cycle. They are functional based in E2. Will this interfere with ovulation this cycle?
Functional cysts: Functional cysts are the cysts in which the eggs grow and from which you ovulate so they are necessary for ovulation to occur. They can also be the corpus luteal cysts which develop at the site of ovulation and produce the progesterone that gets the uterine lining ready for implantation. Again necessary for successful pregnancy. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Possible causes include autoimmune conditions like antiphospholipid antibodies, blood clotting disorders, low egg supply, problems in the uterus like fibroids or a uterine septum, hormonal problems, or genetic problems. Get checked. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

As soon as you want.: You can attempt to get pregnant during your next cycle if that is what you want. It's impossible to know in advance if the remaining ovary will take over and ovulate every month, but lots of women with only one ovary are able to achieve pregnancy. Use over the counter ovulation test kits to see if/when you are ovulating and have intercourse around that time, that's your best shot. Good luck. ...Read more
Does swelling cause weight gain after laparascopic surgery/ovary removal? The incision was made bigger to remove the cyst. 2 weeks and still swelled.
Maybe: Abdominal swelling can be normal up to 4-6 weeks after surgery due to the inflammation and healing from the inside where surgery was done as well as because of the incision healing. Just make sure the wound looks ok and is not swollen because of an infection, where it will be red, very tender and may even have drainage. If this is the case, then you should see your surgeon. ...Read more
Have pcos but no longer have cysts on ovaries. Get painful cramps during/after sex. Can pcos still cause this pain tho there are no cysts?
PCOS doesn't cause: PCOS doesn't usually cause pain. The ovaries are enlarged, though, because there are multiple small cysts, and sometimes that can cause painful intercourse. PCOS is a hormone imbalance where you are not ovulating. You may need to be evaluated for the pain to make sure nothing else is going on. ...Read more
