I had a MRI for low back pain and it showed that I have an enlarged uterus is this something to worry about? I am going for a transvaginal ultrasoun?
The ultrasound: Will help determine why the uterus is big. A common cause would be benign fibroids. Malignant tumors of the muscular portion of the uterus are very rare. Secondly, a measurement of the endometrial thickness will be made. Excessive endometrial thickness is most often seen with overgrowth (hyperplasia) which is benign. Mirena (levonorgestrel) 4 2 yrs w/sore c-section area during period w/ mild lower back pain. Feels like strained muscle pain. Caused by swelling of cervix/uterus?
Get an OBGYN consult: It sounds like you need to visit your OB/GYN right away. You may need to have a cervical exam, pap, r/o uterine process such as fibroids or endometriosis. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) should be working better so best that your OB/GYN rules out contraindications and makes sure your symptoms are better controlled. Low back pain may or may not be unrelated. Talk to your GP doctor about it. Good luck. Read more

Diagnosed with retroverted uterus. It's pressing on my rectum and I'm having lower back pain because of it. What are my options for a cure?
It sounds like you: Should see a spine specialist as to other possible causes for your back pain as there have been no significant findings that a retroverted uterus is a typical cause for back pain.
