Two issues: Seeing your aorta pulsate is normal if you're thin. Be sure to have your doctor examine you to be sure it's not something very rare in your age like an aneurysm. Check with your gynecologist about your menstrual symptoms. Read more

Hard to say: Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, so it's unlikely you're pregnant, especially with on-time periods. The feelings you're having could intestinal movements, and the pain could be fibroids or endometriosis. Best to see a gyn doc to try to sort it out with you. Read more

The ultrasound: Will help determine why the uterus is big. A common cause would be benign fibroids. Malignant tumors of the muscular portion of the uterus are very rare. Secondly, a measurement of the endometrial thickness will be made. Excessive endometrial thickness is most often seen with overgrowth (hyperplasia) which is benign. However endometrial cancer can also do this and could cause uterine enlargement. Read more

Pelvic pain: Pelvic pain is complex as there are several organs in the pelvis. The ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, bladder, appendix, intestines, colon and rectum can all be the source. The uterus can be: Enlarged for several reasons, the most common are multiple pregnancies and benign smooth muscle tumors, called leiomyomata or fibroids.

The findings on MRI may be incidental - meaning unexpected and generally unrelated to the patient's symptoms, but not alway unimportant.

Mirena (levonorgestrel) 4 2 yrs w/sore c-section area during period w/ mild lower back pain. Feels like strained muscle pain. Caused by swelling of cervix/uterus?

Get an OBGYN consult: It sounds like you need to visit your OB/GYN right away. You may need to have a cervical exam, pap, r/o uterine process such as fibroids or endometriosis. The Mirena (levonorgestrel) should be working better so best that your OB/GYN rules out contraindications and makes sure your symptoms are better controlled. It sounds like you: Should see a spine specialist as to other possible causes for your back pain as there have been no significant findings that a retroverted uterus is a typical cause for back pain. It is not an uncommon finding on studies yet not related to the spine as the usual culprit for low back pain even when present. Read more
