What is cotton fever? What are the symptoms and how long does it last?

Reaction 2 particles: From the cotton that is often used to filter heroin (and other drugs) once they are dissolved in water, and usually heated over a flame ('cooked'). The cotton particles cause a foreign body/immune response, especially in the lungs, with cough, fever, chills, sometimes chest pain and shortness of breath, as well as other autoimmune symptoms - muscle aches, weakness, malaise (french for feeling bad)

Possibly too high: You can try ibuprofen as well but if temperature not responding to over counter medications then you may have infection that requires antibiotics. Don't waste a lot more time to see if it comes down.
