Burping: Burping probably a normal response- resulting in letting out of air by relaxing the esophageal sphincter. It may occur more frequently when you eat in a hurry, or use of carbonated beverages. When eat hurriedly you tend to swallow more air which has to be expelled. Constant burping.: Your constant burping could be a sign that you have acid reflux which is not under adequate control. I would consider adopting anti-reflux precautions, particularly avoiding caffeine, tobacco, and alcohol and avoiding any exacerbating foods. I would add Tums to your medicine regimen as needed. Yes: These symptoms may be caused by anxiety or stress. Try a light diet. Also try not to force yourself to burp as this only causes you to swallow more air and cause more belching.
