Meniscal pain is typically sharp and severe. Also brought on with squatting or twisting.

What cause a burning sensation in lower leg right below the knee. The burning sensation comes and goes. It's not swellon or warm to touch.
Hard to say: Answer depends on lots of information that we don't have. How long have you had it? When does it occur? Do you have any other medical problems? This is the sort of question best answered after an in-depth history & exam. Unless, after tracking the pain, you can relate it to an activity (certain exercise, prolonged sitting/standing in a certain position or chair) or a particular style of shoe. ...Read more

Standing on my right knee causes pain that of burning sensation. It lasts secs once I get off knee. No swelling. Fallen on them 10yrs. Nerve damage?
Sounds like you have:
Arthritis, or a meniscal tear. The fall might be responsible for the arthritis, but I think its the daily activities with subtle injuries in a susceptible person resulting in a meniscal tear. Its not a nerve issue.
See an orthopod and I am sure he'll help you.
In the meantime, use a cane for support, as I have seen too many people falling ; making it worse.
Good luck. ...Read more
