I think it is time to get in to be seen by your trusted medical advisor or a Gynecologist. There is not much more we can do on this simple app. If you are not pregnant and having these symptoms it is time for a real examination and diagnosis.

Brown spotting with small clots and lots of cramps and still have about a week n a half to 2 weeks till I start my period what's going on?

possibilities

spotting prior to period can occasionally occur prior to the onset of bleeding and not be a cause for worry, but there are other causes of irregular bleeding: pregnancy, fibroids, endometriosis, STDs, infection, a cervical or uterine polyp. See your doctor to find out for sure.

Brown spotting, some cramping here and there for 5 days, but I'm in the middle of my cycle? What is going on?!

Possibilities

There are several possible reasons. Your hormones could be off temporarily - in which case likely will resolve on its own - or a cervical or vaginal infection, or a growth on the cervix. If you are on birth control pills then missing or taking pills late can cause spotting. If this doesn't go away on its own you could get checked.

my last period was n august 22nd and for the past couple of days i have been having brown spotting. my period is due on sept. 19th, i took a hpt on the 11th but it was neg and so was a blood test. what could be going on or could i really be pregnant?

Spotting

Sounds like low progesterone spotting before your period. Keep a menstrual diary and see if it gets normal next cycle. If it persists, you may need a progesterone boost. Other things cause spotting like polyps, fibroids and infections. And always consider pregnancy if it's a possibility.

im having light pink to light brown spotting on and off for 3 weeks. not pregnant but trying for a baby. what can be the cause? no period for 4 months

May be infection

You should have an evaluation. Bleeding between cycles can be caused by an infection like chlamydia. Other causes can be due lack of ovulation, uterine fibroids or hormonal imbalance such as an underactive htyroid. You can not conceive if you are not having a normal ovulation each month

I have been experiencing brown spotting with a few red drops for 2 days. Its 1 week before my period, what could be the cause? Virgin not on birth ctr

Brown d/c

Since your a virgin, your definely not pregnant. But brown d/c is a sign of old blood. Have you had any trauma to you gential region, like bike riding or exercise. I would f/u with your ob/gyn, and have a pelvic exam.

7 days of brown spotting starting CD18, What is the cause? I am underweight, sexually active. Pregnancy?

Brown = old blood

Irregular periods are one of the most common problems Obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections & hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then do a home pregnancy test . There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. 8 days late LMP was 11/30/12 had brown spotting 12/11/12thru 12/13/12. Period was due 12/27/12 or 12/28/12 (hasn't came). HPT's are negative, extremely tired, what could be going on? Usually regular

Know your options

The cause of the late periods is not something we can always answer. There are lots of treatment options you can discuss with your doctor. A late period from time to time is not unusual. Some benefit from birth control pills, patch or Nuvaring. Mirena IUD can stop your period in some cases.

What could this be? I have been bleeding, not heavy just spotting on a pad and when I wipe, it has been brown to black for over a month. The only time it turns a bright red color is after sex. I have no pain with it. I have been on the birth control shot

First

First of all, make sure that your bleeding is coming from your vagina and not your urethra or rectum. If you insert a tampon and there is blood on it, then you know the bleeding is coming from wither your uterus, cervix or vagina. If you are pre-menopausal, there are many causes for vaginal bleeding not related to your period such as: - IUD or depo provera use - stopping or starting birth control pills containing estrogen - stress - hormone problems such as with the thyroid - injury/trauma of the vagina from intercourse or a sexually transmitted disease (the bright red you see after having sex might just be from friction of the penis against the cervix) - uterine fibroids or polyps - cervical injury, infection or rarely, cancer - pregnancy - highly unlikely since you are on depo AND breastfeeding The best way to sort out what could be happening is to call your doctor. If you are bleeding heavily, call immediately, otherwise you can call during office hours. A careful exam can help show whether your spotting is anything to worry about. Good luck!
