What Causes Blood Clots In Dialysis Fistula
Simple answer is that it is a medical technology used primarily to provide an artificial replacement for lost kidney function in people with renal failure. Hemodialysis remove wastes and excess water from the blood by circulating blood outside the body through an external filter, called a dialyzer. Blood and dialysate flow through in opposite directions and the ...Read more

Blood clots in urine have stent from narrow ureter due to tumor. Clots passing are painful and blocks my urine. What could be the cause?
Several causes.: The presence of a stent in the urinary tract can cause irritation to the lining of the ureter and bladder causing bleeding. Tumors, besides obstructing, can bleed if they cause any erosion of the ureteral lining. If you are passing large clots and blood, a known risk of stents is the development of a communication between a blood vessel and the ureter. Additionally, as a 67yo man, he could have had pre-existing vascular disease that elevated his risk for clotting in those vessels that supply the gut. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
