What Causes Anal Leakage
I had a hemorroids surgery 5 months ago. Ever since then I have anal mucus discharge. What can I do about it?
Discharge can be a noun or a verb; it has multiple meanings in physics, chemistry, military, and legal usage. The most common medical meaning is a substance that is being excreted. Examples: pus is the discharge from a pimple; a vaginal discharge can mean infection; an ear discharge can mean an infection of the outer ear tract; a nasal discharge ...Read more
Anal leakage: Oily anal discharge can be related to inflammation in the large bowel, steatorrhea, or consuming large quantities of deep sea fish (keriorrhea).
Need CR doctor: This is unusual in men. Often related to diet: high in fat, low in fiber, often drink beer and/or lots of caffeine. You need a diagnostic exam first to be sure there isn't a muscle or nerve issue. If you've had a back injury or surgery, that may be related. Obesity, diabetes make this worse as well.
Feces leaking out: The involuntary loss of fecal material from the anus results in brown staining or feces on your underwear. Most often it is caused by some damage to the anal sphincter (the "elastic band" that opens and closes when you have a bowel movement) by prior surgery, anal receptive sex, or nerve damage. Also, severe diarrhea or impaction (hard stool stuck inside) can cause this. See your doctor!See 1 more doctor answer
What would cause, anal leakage during heavymenstrual period, and loose stools? Is it my period, or is it something worse? I've had this for 3 days now
Diarrhea/menses: These are not likely related, but two different conditions. If the diarrhea continues unabated go and see your PCP and have this evaluated.
Clear, foul smelling, oily discharge from my anus. It discharges in small amounts but enough to cause severe bo. When it dries it feels oily. Help?
See a doctor: No help to provide in a forum like this. Go see a proctologist.
I'm experiencing a mucous like anal discharge but I don't have any other conditions I'm aware of. What is a possible cause of this?
Yeast seems unlikely: This may be possible, but I doubt yeast is the most likely explanation. Some other infection or inflammatory bowel disease may be more likely. If you are the receptive partner in anal sex, and if at risk for STDs, gonorrhea or chlamydia are possible, or possibly herpes but less likely without substantial pain. Rectal cancer could do it. The main thing is to see a doctor and take it from there.
Not usually: It is important to note the meds do not usually. If you are having anal intercourse, it is more likely infection that is causing this. You need to see your doctor for the HIV meds and find out what is the doctor's suggestion. If no specific answer, then need to see GI doctor. Best wishes.See 2 more doctor answers
Excessive vaginal: And anal discharge is not normal to begin with. You need to be checked by your physician.
2 weeks with swollen, extremely painful, non-visible, quarter-sized lump inside/to the left of anus. Hurts to sit etc, bloody discharge all day. Cause?
Perianal abcess: The possibility of this being a perianal abcess is strong. It is similar to having a boil on the skin but this is in anal area. Please see a colo-rectal surgeon for the incision and drainage. If you can not wait for an appointment go to ER and they may be able to help you out over there.
Yes: If you had an anal or rectal abscess caused by staph, it could cause pain and anal discharge.
See below: Most likely, it is old blood as part of your menses.
What would cause a yellow, fish-smelling anal discharge? No discomfort, only noticed when passing wind.
Anal discharge: I am wondering if you have any pain or any fever. Could you have an STD? Is the itching constant? What amount of the yellow greenish discharge are you talking about? Have your bowel habits changed? Are you otherwise healthy? Did something trigger this? Please clarify and I'd be happy to help you.
What can cause orange oil discharge from anus? The last thing I ate was popcorn, kit-kat and a little bit of nachos.
Likely normal: Orange color can be the digestive biles from your normal digestion and the foods you have eaten. Should there be more concern, pain, or difficulty defecating a more thorough exam by your doctor would be reasonable. Good luck
