If more help is needed, prescription retinoids such as Retin-A or Differin gel can be used instead of benzoyl peroxide. Oral antibiotics such as tetracycline can be used also. Acne: The benzoyl peroxide will help but you will likely need Clindamycin to use as well they have a prescription combination that works very well. If it is really a severe case you may need retin a (tretinoin). See your family doctor and they will refer you to a dermatologist if you need the extra help. Good luck.
