I went to the obgyn today. She said my uterus is tilted really bad. What causes this and what effects will i have? Will this cause me to have pain?

Highly doubt it: Deviated - verted, flexed, or rotated uterus is not, repeat not abnormal. You (and many) other women were born this way, the idea that it's 'abnormal' is out of date. Ask if your doc can help you more. ...Read more

Went to obgyn today. She said my uterus is tilted really bad. What is the cause of this and what effects will i have? Will this cause me to have pain

Normal variation: There is a wide range in the tilt of a woman's uterus. The main issue is that in certain sex positions, the penis will bump against the uterus with thrusting if the uterus is tilted. Usually changing position takes care of it. Otherwise, a tilted uterus is of little importance except when a doctor is performing procedures on the uterus. ...Read more

I am a 24 year old. I have normal 28 day cycles that last for a max of 5 days.Enlarged and tilted to the left uterus and imbalance of hormones.Causes?

I am a 24 year old. I have normal 28 day cycles that last for a max of 5 days.Enlarged and tilted to the left uterus and imbalance of hormones.Causes?

What worries you?: I'd like to tell you everything sounds okay, but i don't understand what you are worried about. If your cycles are regular 28 days/5 days you do not have a sex hormone "imbalance." what hormones do you think are imbalanced? A tilted uterus is never ever abnormal. You don't say "how" enlarged: this can be normal too, or maybe due to fibroids or adenomyosis. ...Read more

I didn't have any symptom of endometriosis before i got pregnant then why I have tilted uterus what doc should do is it normal or will cause miscarriag?

No miscarriage: Having a tilt to one's uterus (forward, backward or midline) doesn't affect infertility or miscarriage at all. Sometimes women with retroverted uteri (tilted back), also have endometriosis. Endometriosis can cause infertility but does not increase risk for miscarriage. There's nothing to "do" about a tilted uterus, it's a normal variation. Best of luck and thank you for using healthtap! ...Read more
