Probably not, but...: It's unlikely the speculum exam caused this problem. I wouldn't say it's impossible, but I would want to know the reason for your pelvic exam a week ago and whether that problem is the cause of your symptoms. Depends: A simple skin irritation per se doesn't cause enlarged lymph nodes unless it is complicated by cellulitis (skin infection). Other associated systemic signs like fever suggest cellulitis.
