UTI?: If this is something new, sometimes having urinary frequency (symptoms you described) can be a sign of a urinary tract infection. I would recommend following up with your doctor to have a urine specimen drawn. If this is not a new problem, I would consider evaluation for overactive bladder as well. Either way, close follow up with your PCP is mandatory. ...Read more
I don't drink a lot of liquids but I have to urinate A LOT and wake up various times at night to go to the bathroom. This has been happening for years?
People : People often use the word "cramp" to mean any crampy pain, but to a doctor, a cramp is a painful contraction (squeezing) of a muscle that moves a joint. For example, a cramp in the calf will cause the foot to move down to a tiptoe position, while a cramp in the foot may cause the toes to move up, down, in, or out. It is important to know whether the cramps are true cramps or pain without true cramps. Restless limb syndrome, for example, does not cause true cramps, although for some people the pain feels quite achy. True nocturnal (night time) lower limb cramps are a fairly common, and usually benign (harmless) problem. Some cases are linked to medications, such as diuretics ("water pills" or "fluid pills") or statins (cholesterol lowering pills), but no one really has a good explanation for what causes nighttime leg cramps otherwise. We know that they can happen during the later stages of pregnancy, are more common in teenagers and old folks, and seem to run in some families. Because we don't exactly know what causes nighttime leg cramps, there isn't a one-size-fits-all cure. A lot of experts agree that light exercise at night (most mention riding a stationary bike at low speed and low resistance) and stretching the low back and low limbs are effective. Avoiding dehydration may also help. Supplements such as vitamin d, magnesium, and coenzyme q10 may help some people. Quinine is probably effective, but fewer doctors are prescribing it because it has toxic effects. ...Read more

Called nocturia: Nocturia (urination at night) occurs in kidney disease or congestive heart failure due to fluid overload that moves from legs back to body/blood on assuming flat position at night. Another reason is enlarged prostate that makes bladder emptying incomplete. So, it fills up fast & needs to void frequently. If so, need a urologist to avoid kidney failure. ...Read more
What could be the cause of frequent urination? I don't drink sodas. I drink tea and I go pee at least 6 times during the day and 4-6 times every night
Urinary frequency: Several possibilities. If small amounts with urgency or pain, a urinary tract infection is likely. Possibly overactive bladder. If large aounts of urine, i.e. bladder usually is quite full, then diabetes is probably the most likely possibility. Seriously abnormal kidney function could do it. Or hormonal problems, especially one called diabetes insipidis. Some of these are serious; see doctor soon. ...Read more

I m suffering nocturnal urination all the time. I urinate for every 15mints before sleep. Is this due to my kidney stone or something else?
Check with your doc: This may be from too much fluid. Most importantly, once you sleep you wake up to urinate? If so see your doc asap, this may be serious, such as high sugar. If you sleep through without urination you have probably something not serious. Stones cause pain and usually not urination. Hopefully your doc will find everything normal.
