What Causes A Headache Behind The Eyes
What can cause a headache across forehead, behind eyes, and base of head, blood shot eyes and sensitive right eye.
Eyestrain or???: Headache is associated with many etiologies, but having your vision checked, and corrected with bifocal glasses, can remove eyestrain from the long differential diagnosis list. An ophthalmologist or optometrist can screen the eyes for vision-threatening disease, and opticians can fulfill the prescription. If that does not work, make an appointment with a neurologist who specializes in headache.
The medical term is cephalalgia. It is a feeling of pain that can occur on either both sides or just one side of the head or neck. Headaches can be sharp, dull, or throbbing, and can radiate to different areas of the head. They typically last less than an hour but can ...Read more
Headache behind eyes everyday and eyes painful when looking left or right and up-what could cause this? Unusually tired and vision goes blurry sometim
Decongestant: Most pain in or around an eye is from sinusitis or headache. Pain reliever and decongestant should relieve it. If not, or if it is getting worse, go see your doctor. It could also be due to an eye problem such an inflammation in (called uveitis) or around the eye. You need to see an eye doctor to really rule this out.
I've have been getting headaches every day for the past few months. Usually in the region of my forehead and behind my eyes. Sometimes even pain medication does not help. What could possibly be the cause?
Headache: High blood pressure, brain tumor to mention 2 possible causes.
Yes: Hyperthyroidism can affect the eye muscles which become inflamed and can cause pain and protrusion fo the eye called exophthalmos. Occasionally the intraocular pressure may go up causing headache and aching of the eyes so you should have an eye exam. Also the blood pressure can go up in hyperthyroidism and this can cause headache. You should be followed carefully by your doctor.

What can cause a headache at the base of the skull and arch over my head behind my eyes and temples?
What causes me to have pressure behind my eyes and headaches around my forehead and temples and causes me to feel nausea?
Many possibilities: Headaches can be hard to sort out. Migraine is common in young women. Symptoms include pretty severe, throbbing, usually one-sided headache with nausea, sensitivity to light and sound. A squeezing, band-like headache around the temples is likely a tension headache. These are two of the more common types of headaches. If your headache is severe or if you have frequent headaches, see a neurologist.
I have had a headache for a week and a half behind my eyes. I have sinus congestion but no drainage or fever. Is this caused by a virus?
Maybe: Your headache very likely is a consequence of your sinus congestion, even without drainage. It can be from allergic reaction to inhaled allergen like pollen, a viral infection or even a bacterial infection. However, you may be right that this is not from a bacterial infection as you are not systemically sicker (fever, chills, swelling around the facial area). Try otc anti-allergy/decongestant.See 1 more doctor answer
Hv bronchitis 8 wks developed into sinusitis. Headache + press behind eyes. How long will this last? Does it cause any vision loss? Tkg. Tylenol (acetaminophen) pain
Aggressive treatment: 8 weeks of bronchitis and now sinusitis tells me that you have upper and lower respiratory systems infected or inflamed. There needs to be culture of your sputum, lab, chest and sinus xrays. Prolonged antibiotics are indicated IF there is infection. Ancillary treatments are inhalers, decongestants, maybe steroids and lots of hydration. Vision loss is rare. Please see your physician ASAP.

Can tension headache cause ear pain? Nose keeps "popping"- extreme pressure of head behind eyes & all around and ear pain both ears
I am having pressure inn the roof of my mouth, behind my nose and eyes, and in my teeth. Light headed, nauseous, and bad headache. Also weak, tingly, and very tired. What could cause this?
Sinus: First thing that comes to mind, although there are many other possibilities, is sinus infection. See your MD/DO to be evaluated and treated.
Many possible: Multiple causes are possible. Most common would be sinus disease, migraine, or eyestrain from overuse of the eyes for prolonged reading or computer use. Thyroid disease, growths behind the eyes, are much less likely causes. If the pains persist, you should see an ophthalmologist, and if the eye exam is normal, your regular doctor may refer to ENT or neurology.See 1 more doctor answer
What can be the cause of a headache in the same location behind my eye almost everyday? I can feel my heartbeat in my head.
Tension/migraine/eye: A daily headache is a litle different than things like migraines (although they can be frequent and do throb). A condition called chronic daily headache exists that is tough to manage. Headaches can have many causes including drugs, caffeine, otc med use, inflammation, migraines, tension and so on. To diagnose it needs more symptoms and some exam. Problems in the eye can also cause headaches.See 2 more doctor answers
I get headaches/ migraines often. Usually on the left side, starting right behind my eye. I'm 18. What could be the cause of these?
Cause unknown: Now the first thing you need to do is make sure to see a physician, preferably a headache specialist who will probably do an mri, as well as thorough detailed physical exams and blood work. Assuming you have already had this done. There are a variety of meds which can help to prevent headaches, many patients find taking magnesium daily, or massage can help reduce the severity of the headaches, .See 1 more doctor answer
