Am I able to take remeron (mirtazapine) and clonazepam at the same time? It says to take each at night but the next day I had a headache.
Sedation is additive: Headache is a symptom caused, triggered and worsened by many factors. In general medications which can be sedating such as Remeron (mirtazapine) and klonapin can be additive. So though one can take both at night, it may be too much and therefore unnecessary. Your an individual, your doctor knows you best and is the best to review with you. ...Read more
I get a bad headache every morning (that lasts all day) when I don't take a klonopin (clonazepam) the night before. Withdrawal? It's still there if I do, just less
See doctor: Headache may be separate problem from Klonopin (clonazepam) use. See pcp for eval of headaches/ proper diagnosis. Let your doc know all meds you take and any alcohol/drug/tobacco/caffeine use. Write down how long you've been on Klonopin (clonazepam) and why, also when headaches began. Hope this helps. ...Read more

Swollen inf. Nasal turbinate 1 side. Roid = headache. How long for astepro daily @ nite to work? Take claratin d at noon, klonopin. 5 mg for anxiety 2 x day. Ok to take all 3 meds together daily?
See doc: Astepro works in 15 mins, but not all turbinate hypertrophy is due to allergy. Make sure that you aim the nozzle towards the side and not the center of the nose. It's ok to take all these together but you should find out the cause for the hypertrophy. ...Read more
How long does the body take to adjust to clonazepam? Switched from Xanax (alprazolam) a week ago and having muscle aches, headache, and brain fog, and mild depress
Unlikely: More information is needed to answer aproprietly your question What kind of headache? Trigger factors?, quality, location, how long, does it last?, what makes it better, what worse. Do you drink alcohol? smoke, habits?? , how is your blood pressure? Any other sx's??? Etc. What do you suggest if I have been on 2-3 mgs of klonopin (clonazepam) for over 10 years. Down to 2 mgs. Now trying. 50 and. 50. Lots of headaches. Any thoughts?
Taper too fast: Detox from Klonopin (clonazepam) depends on why it was taken in the first place. If taken for an anxiety disorder, a replacement eg SSRI helps and I reduce gradually (0.25mg per week) to prevent relapse. I would recommend reduction of 10-25% of dose per week otherwise. Some detoxes are much faster but that is unpleasant. ...Read more

Had a seizure a week ago due to problems with a medication (klonopin). Now having daily headaches. Will this go away?
Slow taper: It is unclear from your question what dose of Klonopin (clonazepam) you were taking and how fast you discontinued the medicine. Done too quickly, it can result in seizures. Hopefully, you are followed by an MD to do this correctly. Most likely the headaches will disappear with time if they were not preexistent to the Klonopin (clonazepam). ...Read more

on 3 mg of klonopin (clonazepam) as inpatient...dr added tegretol which dropped klonopin (clonazepam) to about 2.0 some headaches & tinnutitus. Will this eventually go away?
Hopefully so..: Response to decreasing Klonopin (clonazepam) or other similar medications depends on the amount previously taken, duration of use, speed of taper and patient response. The Klonopin (clonazepam) dose you were on is a relatively high dose. The addition of Tegretol appears to coincide with the decrease. It is unclear as to whether your symptoms are due to one or the other or both. Recommend discussing with your doctor. Best. ...Read more
What is more likely to cause headaches, paroxetine or clonazepam? I've had it since on them. Also what's the difference btwn headache & a migraine?
Talk to doctor:
Second question first: a headache is a symptom, not a diagnosis. There are many kinds of headaches, due to many different causes. A migraine headache is a specific kind of headache.
In my practice, I can't recall any patients getting headaches on either paroxetine or clonazepam, so I'm not sure they are connected. Please discuss this with your treating physician, who can answer these questions. ...Read more

I wake up with headache/gasping for air often. Could it be sleep apnea? I'm 23, not overweight. Also is klonopin (clonazepam) for sleep unsafe with apnea?
Sleep disturbances: Yes it could be sleep apnea. Get evaluated by a sleep doctor to determine if a sleep study should be performed. Klonopin (clonazepam) is not necessarily unsafe for sleep apnea but central nervous system medications/depressants in general can affect sleep and also breathing during sleep. But it may be necessary to use this medication so do not discontinue it without checking with the prescriber. ...Read more
Started 1mg bedtime of klonopin (clonazepam) and decided with doc to wean off every 2 weeks. 25 mg. Down to. 25 and have headache and face tingling. Will go away?
Benzo taper down: Coming off a benzodiazepine like Klonopin (clonazepam) can cause withdrawal symptoms even when t is done slowly. It may take a couple of days to get over those but I advise that you let your provider know about this so he/she may let you know what is the next step. If symptoms get worse I would recommend you to go to the ed for immediate evaluation. ...Read more

Almost weaned off clonazepam, but insomnia, pounding heartbeat, nausea, headache now with or without? How long does withdrawal last?
How fast was weaning: Given your cardiac conditions get checked asap. Also what was the reason for weaning off the clonazepam? If you were not on a high dose and it was helping then if it ain't broke why fix it? However if you were have problems with sedation, memory etc. Then perhaps the tapering schedule was too fast. Sometimes only lowering of the dose can be achieved and not total discontinuation. ...Read more

.5 clonazapam 4 times a day and 350mg tramadol seem to keep my neck pain and tension headaches away. Is this a appropriate mix to stay lond term?
Not really: The problem with pain meds is that people develop tolerance and need more, or depend on the medication to do all of the work. Tension requires understanding it's cause. And meditation is and excellent treatment for pain. It is ok to take pain meds when you need them. But try to see them as short term treatments. ...Read more
