Well..it may cause..: For example: heartburn can be perceived as a possible heart attack and thus can cause the person to be nervous/anxious/scared, but this just means it can trigger those symptoms, not causing the anxiety disorder itself. Having underlying anxiety disorder and having certain illnesses can make the anxiety worse over time. If severe/persistent, you can develop anxiety/depressive disorder. Consult doc.

Meditation is great.: You can start with deep breathing and sit down in a comfortable position and repeat a mantra or a work over and over. Your mind will feel cleared of distraction thoughts and your body will relax. It helps to close your eyes too.

Anxiety, eval needed: Symptoms include those described, as well as restlessness, agitation, worry, problems with sleep. Many factors contribute: life events/stressors, medications, caffeine/substance use/supplements, and medical conditions. Anxiety not tied to anything is referred to as generalized anxiety. To V stress: Talk about feelings & address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine & alcohol (or moderate). Try Qi Gong, Tai Chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, Yoga, exercise program, deep breathing exercises or Progressive muscle relaxation.

Cure for nerves: Anxiety is a normal part of being human, so there is no "cure". Many people can be taught ways to better manage their anxiety through cognitive and behaviorally oriented therapy. There are also anti-anxiety meds that are effective. You can be helped with psychiatric or psychological therapy.

Many: Regular nervousness is not common and needs to be evaluated. Some medications used to treat bronco ecstasies can cause nervousness, and difficulty breathing can itself present as anxiety. Get evaluated for thyroid problems and other metabolic issues. Finally anxiety and depression at your age is common which can explain some of the symptoms you are describing.

Someone at work pointed out to me today that I giggle after most sentances, I think its nervousness as I haven't been there long how do I stop doing it?

Feedback: In my anesthesia practice I have noticed that nervousness manifests itself in various ways, depending on personality. Some patients get very quiet, some giggle, others get defensive, etc. These sort of nervous responses may be unconscious. I suggest you ask close friends who you spend a fair amount of time with to monitor this behavior and tell you when it happens so you can modify it.
