A low fat diet can moderate or eliminate the symptoms, but once the gallbladder is removed there is no restrictions. Marginal function: Your gallbladder is functioning at the threshhold of abnormality. 35% or less is considered abnormal, and if you're symptomatic, i would recommend the gallbladder be removed. GB ejection fraction: The normal gallbladder ejection fraction varies depending on the type of test which is used to determine it. Having said that, an ejection fraction below 35% is often considered abnormal. It depends on how severe , how frequent your attacks are Some manage with diet, weight loss etc. others have surgery to have it removed. If you are not having symptoms you can probably just watch it. Probably not: But i would need more information. Blood test results? Are you having any GI symptoms of upper abdominal pain ; nausea? Have you already seen a general surgeon for evaluation of the low gb function?
