Pressed my left foot to hard on a peddle felt something crunch been in pain ever since, had X-ray doctor said i, ve got arthritus and live with it. I feel a pad underneath foot and cannot walk.
Best to be seen: If you cannot walk after having this happen, I suggest being seen again. It is possible that you have a fracture that cannot be seen on a plain xray. It is not uncommon to find a fracture on an MRI that cannot be seen on plain xray. Hearing a crunch sound and not being able to walk are good clues of a possible fracture. Yes: If you are having pain to any joint, the first recommended treatment is resting that joint. If you feel you need crutches to rest it, then do so. Chronic pain: I'm not sure what you have tried so far, so i'll mention various options. First treatment options are the various ways to reduce the spasticity of your muscles, including use of muscle relaxants, pt, massage, botox. Next would be actual pain relief with nsaid's.I'd also talk to your doctor about off label use of Lyrica (pregabalin) for this pain.
