If : If you have irregular periods, you are likely having irregular ovulation which could make it difficult for you to get pregnant. If you are not successfully pregnant within a year of trying, then it might be worth your time to see an ob/gyne doctor. That being said, maybe you are pregnant. You can either take a home pregnancy test as long as it has been 5- 6 weeks since your last normal period, or you can go see your doctor and they can test you. A home pregnancy test is 97% accurate if taken a week or more after the missed period. A blood test can tell if you are pregnant as soon as 7 days after conception and a doctor's urine pregnancy test can tell if you are pregnant around when you next period should come. If you have an irregular period, this can make the timing more difficult. If you take a home pregnancy test 4 weeks after you think you may have gotten pregnant, it should be pretty accurate. ...Read more

Hello! i was wondering if you could still get pregnant if a person hardly is see their periods, if you see it every other month or every 2-6months?

Infrequent periods: It sounds like your periods are both light and come infrequently, every 2-6 months. When your period is that infrequent then it is likely you are not releasing an egg, or releasing one occasionally - so it is much harder to get pregnant. The cause is usually something blocking ovulation - you need to see a doctor to figure out what is going on and treat it. ...Read more

My periods r heavier than everyone else I talk to how do I know if its normal or it i have abnormally heavy periods and should go to a doctor?

Heavy periods: There is a wide range of normal when it comes to periods; some women bleed for 7 days and change a pad/tampon every 3-4 hours. Others only bleed for 3 or 4 days. If you are bleeding too much, you can become anemic, and very heavy periods can be a sign of fibroid uterus, hormone imbalance or clotting disorder. I would recommend seeing a doctor to discuss specifics to see if you need further tests. ...Read more
